Julia Kots Bio:

Julia Kots has made several award-winning short films, which have played on PBS, as well as at dozens of renowned film festivals worldwide, including Slamdance and Chicago International. Her recent awards include the New Line Cinema Development Grant, the Women In Film Acceleration Grant for Emerging Filmmakers, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation Grant, the Coca Cola Refreshing Filmmaker Award, and the Jewish Foundation For Education of Women Scholarship. Julia has taught at Columbia University, as well as TA'd at both Columbia and Barnard. Julia holds an MFA from the Columbia University Film School and a BA from Yale University. Julia emigrated from Kharkov, Ukraine at the age of ten.
